Ford Motor Company was founded by Henry Ford in 1903. It is an American multinational automaker which has headquarters in Dearborn, Michigan. Ford has a range of vehicles from Ford cars, trucks, SUVs, and electrified vehicles. It ventured into the Indian market in 1995 by establishing Ford India Private Limited and started a manufacturing hub in Tamil Nadu. In 2021 it ceased domestic operations because of the competition and market constraints. But in September 2024 Ford announced that it would revive the Tamil Nadu facility for export purposes to make India a global manufacturing hub.
